Trevor Young Appointed Vice-President and Provost of the University of Toronto

Trevor Young

TDRA congratulates Dr. Trevor Young, who will begin a five-year term as the University of Toronto’s new Vice-President and Provost in January 2024.

Dr. Young is internationally recognized for his research on the molecular basis of mood disorders and their treatment. He currently serves as Dean of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and Vice-Provost, Relations with Health Care Institutions at the University of Toronto. Dr. Young is also a professor of psychiatry and pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Toronto, and a senior scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Dr. Young has demonstrated exemplary leadership in his current roles, launching innovative academic programs, developing EDI initiatives, and building strong relationships with health care partners.

Dr. Young has also served as co-chair of TDRA’s Executive Committee since his appointment as Dean of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. With his knowledge and experience, Dr. Young has provided TDRA with guidance on major strategic decisions and long-term sustainability. His presence and support will be missed at our Executive Table.
