TDRA’s Dr. Luca Pisterzi to Join Alzheimer Society of Canada’s Senior Leadership Team
Dear colleagues,
With very mixed feelings I am sharing with you that Luca has accepted the role of VP Research at the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada (ASC) and his last day in TDRA will be January 26, 2024. I am delighted for Luca for being selected to lead research at ASC and pleased that he continues to be committed to the field of dementia and neurodegenerative diseases.
Luca joined TDRA in 2017 as a Program Manager and his impact was noticed shortly after. In 2020 he was promoted to the position of Director of Strategy and Operations. Luca was instrumental to the growth and maturity of TDRA. In addition to leading an efficient team, he directly led several successful initiatives including the development and dissemination of the TDRA Cognition MRI protocol across the system, and the collaboration with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto to develop the recruitment portal for TDRA studies.
Please join me in congratulating Luca in his new role. Luca and I will work together on a transition plan. And while I will miss Luca’s calm, thoughtful and energetic leadership, I wish him all success in his new role and I am confident he will continue to be an asset to the dementia community and to TDRA in particular.
