Dr. Krista Lanctôt Appointed to the Bernick Chair in Geriatric Psychopharmacology

We are excited to announce that TDRA investigator Dr. Krista Lanctôt has been appointed to the inaugural Bernick Chair in Geriatric Psychopharmacology.

The Chair is shared by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. The Chair will be dedicated to research in dementia prevention and treatment optimization, supporting the transformation of care for Canada’s senior population.

Dr. Lanctôt is a leader in the field of dementia research. Her work has helped to establish guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of dementia, which are used by clinicians around the world. Dr. Lanctôt is also recognized as a highly collaborative network scientist. Within TDRA, she contributes towards standardization of dementia care in Long-Term Care Homes, the multisite PACt-MD study, and is Co-PI on the Aleviate and SARTAN-AD studies.
